It is at least inhuman and cowardice to actually "kill" pets in the name of "relief of pain".I could not ever think of killing my dog!!!Why euthanasia is illegal to people and legal to animals???All the more when they cannot express any opinion and just follow you for their death penalty just by trusting you, as a young kid does to his parent!SO SAD!!!

What about creating a new machine that measures weight and for those who are overweight it will reduce the weight to the desired level by sucking the fat out (through some kind of liposuction technique probably).

Those who are underweight, well, stop smoking and start eating!

OKAY, I have had this idea for a long time now. It is silly and kinda ridiculous, but if it can be turned into a real product, it can be a blockbuster.

Smart idea from Norway. A two-seat, electric-powered car that is environmentally friendly and very inexpensive.

It’s called the Think City Car, here is the site to take a look http://en.think.no/

You can buy the car for only USD 15,000 to 17,000 for the vehicle, but the company leases the battery.

The battery could cost an estimated USD 34,000, more than the price of a low-end luxury vehicle in most countries.

By leasing it, you don’t pay a large amount upfront and you assume fewer risks as a buyer. The company replaces the battery when it runs into problems.

Great idea, I thought it should be posted and supported here as well!

Imagine a virtual world, like Second Life, with the following catch to it.

You join Third Life online and create your Avatar. Immediately a copy-cat Avatar gets created. You don't control any of its movements. Your twin avatar is an artificially intelligent copy-cat that operates on its own.

It studies your actual life every day and then based on it, it simulates a random daily life for itself. Your copy-cat Avatar can interact with real Avatars as well as other copy-cats.

What you get to experience is a different way you could have lived your Second life. The different choices you could have made, the different people you could have met. That's your Third Life!

The other day in the office I had to clean the filter of my espresso machine because the coffee had clogged up those small holes. I tried using one of the metal brushes with very fine threads but could not get the threads to go into the holes.

Solution? I put the filter basket in a cup with hot water, added some dish soap and let it there for 30 minutes. Amazingly the holes had cleared up on their own. I did not have to do it anything more. Pretty cool!

Water turns fatty food into light food

If a light food product you buy in the supermarket means a product with less calories, then you can turn every food into light food by adding water to it. Most calorie measurements in food are based on samples of 100 grams, so if you add water the 100 grams become 200 but the calories stay the same or are less as percentage of the overall intake

Products I can think of this can apply are alcohol, beer, wine, yogurt, soups, milk shakes, ice cream, coke etc

The taste might be diluted but will still be the same. If you turn normal food products into light ones this way, you will also be saving money as light products are usually more expensive compared to the original ones!

What if all yoga classes and teachers had to teach you how to lick your elbow with your tongue? I think that would be great and hilarious.

I mean, if they ask you to bring your legs behind your head and do all those stretchy crazy stuff, why can't they teach you how to lick your elbow with your tongue? No? Why not? Try it!

I think all yoga teachers should be able to do that. Wonna know how good your yoga teacher is?

Ask him or her next time to lick their elbow with their tongue. It's so relaxing and meditative!

Try it out but be careful with your neck. Actually before you try it out, give me your support first.

You got to lick it, before you kick it!

Hi guys and pasta lovers. Do you want to impress your girlfriend with an easy and tasty pasta meal?

Before you add any sauce you have in mind, throw in some oregano, mix the pasta, add the sauce, mix again and serve!

Tastes great with all kinds of sauces, tomato and cream based.

If you get a nice compliment from your girl , I expect a small support from you...

If your evening goes very well after dinner, I look forward to a much more generous contribution!!!

What about using distilled water to rinse dishes from soap?

I think that would make it safer for our health because after the water dries, on the surface of the dishes there are remnants left from the impurities found in the regular tap water.

The word of God in a comic book?

A cartoon in Denmark on prophet Mohammed produces riots and protests among Muslims. The Catholic Church of England on the other hand uses cartoons called manga (a Japanese-style comic book) to recruit young people into priesthood. Not every Christian church uses cartoons for recruitment, but I think this might be an interesting new way to appeal to the religious sentiment of young people and bring them closer to the Church.

I think of it this way. The cover of which book would be more appealing to an 8-year old to open, take a look and read? A dark cover with a Cross and the world Bible on it? Or a colorful comic book with the Messiah in a cartoon figure on it?

If the way young people communicate has changed, shouldn't the Church also change the way it delivers God's message to them? There is certainly a lot of good argument against such kind of modernization by the Church but at the same time I think we need to be open to new ideas and ways the word of God can be delivered.

The manga might be a modern way but not the most appropriate. As long as it makes us think what the best way to deliver the message to young people is, I think it is a positive experiment. What do you think?

Office chair turned bed for busy people

I made this thought for people like me who work at the office until very late. A very anatomic chair that unfolds and turns into a bed so that you can sleep a few hours when working late in the office. A lot of people that work in finance or in other industries pull all nighters at the office but there is no bed to rest for even an hour!

Some of my colleagues asked me how I came up with it. They thought I got the idea from traveling on business class where the seats turn into beds. Actually that wasn't the case.

I commute to work by train every day. The other day an old man came in, he seemed to have difficulty walking so I stood up to give him my seat but he refused. He then started to de-assemble his walking stick and turned it into a small tripod on top of which there was a round plastic that served as the seat of a chair! He sat till his stop came and then folded it back and went out.

I thought that was awesome. If they can turn walking sticks into chairs for old people, why not make office chairs for the army of young professionals who rarely go back home to sleep due to overwork?

If you memorized 6 x 7 = 42, must you also memorize 7 x 6?

In Europe and possibly also in the US, children are asked to memorize the multiplication table in full. I used to think that is necessary in order to enhance our childrens' mathematical abilities. I still think this is the case. Nevertheless, children in China have to only memorize half the table. If you memorized 6 x 7 = 42, then you only need that info to know that 7 x 6 = 42 as well.

Despite the fact that kids in China are asked to memorize half the amount of information our kids in Europe do and despite that their educational philosophy and method is a bit different when it comes to teaching math, the Chinese do very well in international math exams.

My concern is not just about the multiplication table and how to memorize it. That is just an example I used. It has to do with the teaching methods and philosophies in general. I think in Europe, much less in the US, we seem to have an educational philosophy that says you need to know how to "reinvent the wheel" every time, all the time. Too much theory, too much memorization. Do you think this is necessary and helpful at a time when computers have become so fast and software so advanced?

Lyrics are the key to good music, not just melody or tune

I was looking at a list of songs from all genres of music that have stayed popular to this day. They all have great melody and tune, what we call music! But I noticed that all of them also had amazing lyrics, lyrics that speak to the heart and soul. I think that if music is another way to express inner poetry tuned in melody, then lyrics are the key to the all time success of a song with good music.

Pop songs these days have either too few lyrics that get repeated too often or no lyrics at all. No wonder they will stay number 1 on the charts for a short while and then be forgotten. Not all music that comes out is bad, but music with good lyrics is rare I think.

What do you think? Have you ever wondered why it is that you like to play some of the songs on your ipod more often than others? How often do you sing or whisper the lyrics of a good song you like?

If you are a singer, or you would like to become one one day, shouldn't you also try to write your own lyrics as well before you rest assured on your good voice only?

Talking about horny thoughts! What about a website service where people from all over the world upload a message that would be heard when a taxi driver in China or India or any country in the world presses his or her car horn to warn a pedestrian. Car drivers will be able to download it via their mobile phones or via wireless internet and use it as car horn. It can be a ring tone or a person's voice with a message in your own language or in a foreign language.

If you upload your own message, you will be notified by the website service daily as to how many times and in which countries your voice was heard. The people that used your voice to replace their usual car horn sound will be able to give you feedback online as to the reaction people had when they heard it. Wouldn't it be fun? What do you think?

Smoking can cause lung cancer but can also protect the gum in your mouth. To be correct, it can help preserve it. Salting, pickling and smoking are ways to preserve food. If you smoke for years and quit suddenly, your gum condition will begin deteriorating much faster. Why aren't the healthy effects of smoking also advertised so that people can trade risks? Do you know of any other positive health effects from smoke?

Carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas that exists in the earth's atmosphere. CO2 however becomes solid at temperatures below -78 °C. In its solid state, carbon dioxide is commonly called dry ice. I thought the following. If scientists can find a way to cool atmosphere at that level then large chunks of it can be removed from the atmosphere. CO2 at a solid state will just fall from the sky like dry ice due to gravity!

Why do we need superdelegates in an election?

A democratic election is one based on people's votes. I don't understand why people who were not elected have power and authority to decide on an election outcome. I think we should remove super-delegates and electorates in US party and national elections. They complicate the vote and make the systems less democratic and transparent.

When Gore lost to Bush back in 2000 not on the basis of the majority of the national vote which he had won but on the basis of more electorates in Florida, that was a setback to the credibility of US democracy. We were criticized for that by people abroad.

I am worried that the tight race between Obama and Hillary might result to a similar situation. What do you think? Shouldn't we simply move away from this system, wouldn't it be an improvement to our democracy to get rid of delegates and electorates all together?

What about allowing goal detection sensors to be placed in goalposts that will flash a red light when the ball passes the line? I think that would help soccer referees make no mistakes and will remove suspicions of bribery on a close call.

I wonder why such technology is not used already. Other sports use it. Tennis for example. Can it be because in Turkey and Europe too our instinctive reaction is to put all the blame when our team is defeated on the referee?

I noticed that Google Earth allows users to upload photos using this service called Panoramio but the photos you can see are limited. Why don't they use their own software Picasa instead?

I think it would have been much better if Google Earth users could have access to Picasa users' photos that are public. This way there would be a larger supply of photos to choose from and more variety for the end-user.
