I think Barack Obama has the best ideas on how we can shape a better Middle East which can help get ourselves out of the Iraqi mess.
When it comes to foreign policy he seems to always come with ideas that are different than any other candidate out there.
I list 3 of his ideas when it comes to US diplomacy in the Middle East that I think are very unique and promising.
Obama has been the only one with the guts to offer opportunity for real diplomacy than stubborn war rhetoric that will get us nowhere in the Middle East.
1. Talk to Iran, offer economic & security incentives
This is seen as almost heretical by some, but think about it. If you don't talk with your enemy about peace with your enemy, who will you talk it with?
2. No preconditions in the talks
It would be nice if Iran could suspend its nuclear weapons activity first, but realistically they never will because we say so or because we threaten them with war.
We need to be realistic, if we don't want more war either, we got to enter the talks in good faith.
3. Tie the above with progress on Iraq
Make no mistake, Iran's influence on Iraq is tremendous. If we get the Iranians on our side in Iraq, only then can we talk about realistic dates for out troops to withdraw
I can go on, but I want your views on these 3 specific ideas. I think they merit a lot of debate and need to be supported.
Look forward to your comments & thoughts

That's an idea I had for our very confidential thoughts we need to put down so that we don't forget and that no one else should have a look at.
Does the post-it note self-destruct permanently or can it get back to its original state?
I guess a mini-explosion that would make it disappear altogether might be the best solution. I think I might have seen some cartoon with similar idea or something like that.
I am sure students who cheat could use them a lot when caught by teachers.

I was looking at some books on a bookstore yesterday and made the mistake to be standing close to the door.
It was very windy and when someone suddenly opened the door to come in, wind would blow in, shuffle the pages and make me lose the page I was reading.
This is when this idea hit me. Don't know if it is difficult to do technologically. Feel free to brainstorm your thoughts on how it could be done or improved!
Here it is:
What if there was an eye-sensor on books that would read the movement of the eye reading the page and only when the eye would fall on the last word of the page, then and only then it would turn the pages for us?
The sensor could be transparent, like a thin film on the inside cover of the book, maybe glued on the top left or right of the cover inside. It will have in its memory the layout of every page and at every second it would match the position of the eyes with the layout of the book.
You would not have to use your hands to turn pages and the sensor would remember the last page you were reading, so when you open the book again it will automatically take you there!

Q: How did the ghost free the mummy that was locked en a crypt?
A: Boolean Code
I know its cheesy and maybe only a computer geek would understand the joke. But the idea came to me while my boyfriend was programming.

Imagine you are the predator. Don't you just hate it entering someone's house who happens to hold a powerful, high-voltage LED flashlight pointed at you?
Don't be passive. Protect yourself! Wear your high anti-glare goggles and become the ultimate predator.
A good product idea demands a good product idea in return! Evil conspiracy hehe...
Predators, finish the job you started without complications. Goggle it dudes!

Words express human feelings. Jealousy, love, hate, anger, disappointment, sadness etc. When someone describes their feelings in words, the feeling is felt or understood based on one's own experience of the same feeling.
But, if someone came up with a new word to describe a feeling you never experienced in your life before, what does even a detailed description of it actually convey to you? Can we experience feelings we never felt before? Is the range of human feelings infinite?

I've seen it at Singapore airport. It is free for everyone to use and get a good rest or sleep from a long flight. I think they should have them at every major airport with the option of reserving your chair online either when you book your ticket or anytime before you arrive at the airport. This way you will not have to wait to get a chair when the airport is crowded.

Turn off your mobile phone, don't play with your keys but feel free to eat pop-corn or snacks while watching a movie. Silence is gold but gold is hard to get in the movies! Pop-corn munching, paper folding...if the theater is full, then eating corn and drinking pop makes very annoying noise. If silence Is gold, why don't we ban pop-corn and other food in the movies so we can all get rich?

Why aren't there more plugs in airports to power your laptop longer while you wait for your flight? What's the point of offering wireless internet service everywhere in an airport when there aren't enough plugs around to power it longer?
This is bad business for companies that offer wireless internet service in airports. If I only had 1 hour of battery left in my laptop, I would only pay for 1 hour of internet service even though I could have paid more to stay online longer had there been more plugs around!

You can only plug your laptop if you fly business or first-class, but I certainly wouldn't mind it if I was asked to pay a few dollars more for my economy class ticket and have electric outlet for my laptop. I also think that since passengers can place calls during a flight, companies should make internet access available as well. When you fly on economy on a long flight, internet access and a laptop that works on the plug can make a big difference!

I don't understand why they don't improve yogurt packages so that they don't splash when you open them. Yogurt that is sold in a small plastic container and sealed with paper at the top will splash on you unless you unseal it very very slowly. At the very least, there should be a warning written on the seal telling us to hold the yogurt facing the opposite direction before we open it.
I've opened yogurt packages from many different companies as a test at normal speed and the results were the same. Drops of yogurt splash all over. I think it is time a patent is created for a yogurt package that doesn't splash. It's annoying and it doesn't make sense to me why companies don't improve it...

What's the point of having a facially unprivileged woman wear a nigab - black cloth that fully covers a woman's face - if men are tempted by beautiful women only? Are all muslim women that pretty or are all muslim men that tempted?
What about an Islamic Beauty Organization that sets beauty standards for women and decides who must wear the niqab all the time and who doesn't have to. The WIBO's mission might help solve the issue some countries face with regards to banning or not banning the head scarf in public places...
Does having to wear the niqab reduce car accidents in a country? I am thinking of those instances when men lose their concentration on the road ahead because they happened to see a pretty woman going down the street. It would make for a fascinating debate if such statistics were available...
Personally, I think obliging all women in a country to adhere to a strict religious dress code is ridiculous. I don't feel sad only for the women who after all might be used to wearing it or see it as a fashion statement. I feel sad for the men who get used to seeing less of the female beauty that exists which in turn makes it hard to cultivate good taste in women :)

Until a day comes when all cars can emit clean gas, what about having aromatic car exhaust filters that make emissions smell like perfume, plants or flowers and not like mechanic farts? Wouldn't that help make our cities friendlier to live even though the level of pollution would still be the same? Even if clean emissions become reality one day, shouldn't we still require aroma to be emitted as a way to achieve large scale urban aromatherapy for all city dwellers cities?

If the idea behind playing a game is to take on a challenge and the goal is to always win, then what is the point of accepting the tie as a result in a game?
When you accept the tie as a result, does that mean the two teams are equal? What's the point of knowing that you can't beat the other and that neither he or she can beat you back either? Should ending a game in a tie be not acceptable as a final result? What do you think?

I think spray deodorants for the armpit are more hygienic than roll on ones. A roll on deodorant comes into contact with the bacteria found in the armpit and also hair in the case of men. While all deodorants contain alcohol to kill the bacteria, the alcohol can evaporate easily if you forget to put the lid on. With spray it is also easier to lend your deodorant to someone else to use it, a friend or boyfriend etc. I've always been curious, why don't they make them all spray-based?

I read in an article that vegetarian diet for dogs is more healthy than a meat-based one. Is it true? I did this test with my dog. I left a plate with meat and a plate with salad next to it. My dog only ate the meat and did not touch the salad at all. I don't understand why some people promote a vegetarian diet for dogs and pets in general, when it is not the natural thing to do. What is your opinion on this?

Referring to having the air-condition on during the hot summer months at a very low temperature. This is typical if you work in New York. When I did my training there, the air-con kept the office so cold that I was freezing to the point I had to have a blanket wrapped around me all the time. I was told a cold office keeps employees awake. Is that true? If true, this is crazy, sick and inhumane.
There is a difference between keeping cool and freezing to death. That difference should be no no more than 10 degrees Celsius but the New Yorkers seem to surpass any reasonable expectation of coolness! Or maybe this is how New Yorkers train for the coming Ice Age :)
Other than that New York is a great city!

Apparently yes! Seems to be popular in Japan. Have you seen it in other countries? Not sure I would eat plain pasta in bread. Adding some pasta sauce might taste better. I've been told it's fast food sold in convenience stores and people eat it as a snack. I think if they put pasta sauce in it, the taste would improve a lot. Pasta sauce companies could advertise their products this way!
