Compose music moving your body

Wouldn't it be cool to compose music just by moving your body? As technology advances, just about anyone can become composers at low cost. Leads to more creativity, more songs, more music. I bet the Internet will provide free tutorials. There'll be classes but no exams. There'll be courses but no degrees, qualifications etc

Just a thought..

I always have these great ideas to freak people out and amuse myself, but I don't ever actually have the balls to do it.

So anyways...this morning I was doing my weekend jog w/ my friend (jogged 18 min then 5.5, woohoo!) and we had several cars of guys slow down to yell things out the window at us. This is not uncommon, but its just so weird. Because seriously? This is when you want to yell out at a girl? When she's sweaty and gross and up at the ass crack of dawn (or like, 10am, whatevs) to jog? But you know they aren't really hitting on you. They're bored and trying to be funny.

So that got me thinking... what if we could find a way to just freak them out. For example... car slows down at stop sign and yells out typical "shake it baby WOO" and instead of ignoring them or giving them dirty looks, we smile? And make a bee-line for the car and be like "omg you guys are SOOOO cute, so you want our numbers? omg we should TOTALLY go out tonight" etc etc. It might just get them to stop yelling out to random girls. it'd be a public service really. Just a thought.

Sell/Send out-dated capital to third world countries

Obviously old computers, typewriters, telephones, calculators, etc are no longer high quality to the industrialized world as technology continually advances. However, these out-dated pieces of capital could increase productivity in alarming rates to those who could employee them in the third world. This minor act of philanthropy (or business venture) would do much more for the well being of people than typical charity.

China, Japan, Korea...

Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, etc...or as I like to call them: "Hey, can I get a fork?" countries. Hand2mouth feeding would be better in this case >>>

Why do we like quotes so much?

I don't like using quotes when I speak. Sometimes the quote is a good fit but it's not your words, you use it to suggest that you read extensively or just want to impress. The truth of the matter is that most people memorize a few quotes to use and never read the original work. "I feel like quoting from books you haven't read is like wearing the t-shirts of bands you've never listened to." Say you read it from me next time you use it :)

GPS shoes for Alzheimer's patients

I've often thought that the traditional bracelets and necklaces were not completely reliable, as often the person with dementia will remove them, but in my experience, most people with the condition still tend to wear their shoes everywhere, especially if they plan on going outdoors...

DNA littering

Have you ever thought how easy it would be for someone to get a sample of your DNA? My hair likes to fall out. I bet I have littered my hair all over the place. All it would take is for some hair collector dude to pick a piece up and there'd go my DNA. It'd be easier than stealing a social security number. Why would someone need a sample of some random DNA, right? Just a thought.

where did you read that?

don't you hate the sort of people who are not smart but think they are, the sort of guys who blab about 'their' ideas, try to impress all the time or push their opinions on to others? they are so full of hot air, aren't they? it's always the case. i thought of a clever way to bring them down to earth and deflate their egos. at some point they will get to ask 'it's a great idea don't you think?' to which I reply, "yeees, it's interesting, where did you read that?"...'oh no no no this is my idea...' :P

Bing versus Google

Microsoft rolled out its answer to Google, known as Bing. Now, perhaps there are some folks out there who are looking for a new search engine, but I don't really know any of those people. I like Google, it's straightforward and I know how to use it. So, what's Bing going to bring to this game? Microsoft has been in a bit of copycat mode lately with Vista (Microsoft OSX) to Silverlight (Microsoft Flash) and now Bing (Microsoft Google). Perhaps it should put its gigantic heads together and come up with a product that won't immediately be compared to a superior one that's already been serving the market quite well. It's just a thought.
