Imagine a virtual world, like Second Life, with the following catch to it.

You join Third Life online and create your Avatar. Immediately a copy-cat Avatar gets created. You don't control any of its movements. Your twin avatar is an artificially intelligent copy-cat that operates on its own.

It studies your actual life every day and then based on it, it simulates a random daily life for itself. Your copy-cat Avatar can interact with real Avatars as well as other copy-cats.

What you get to experience is a different way you could have lived your Second life. The different choices you could have made, the different people you could have met. That's your Third Life!
