Why can't people easily accept display of intelligence?

Even if a woman is naturally very pretty, she still puts on make-up to look more beautiful and attractive when she goes out. If she doesn't overdo it with the make-up and her dress, no man will think she is arrogantly flaunting her beauty despite the fact that most people think to themselves that she is pretty even without the make-up. The truth is that all men will welcome and enjoy the extra beauty she has put on display. Why can't that be the case with intelligence as well? I have noticed that men become very defensive when they meet someone who's smarter than them. Why can't the reaction to something as beautiful as a smart mind be the same as the reaction to something as beautiful as a pretty face?

Want to help a female celebrity raise her IQ?

Make love to her. Give her babies. If pregnancy raises a woman's IQ that can be an ideal solution to the idiot celebrity problem. That's because it only takes pleasure to produce the desired effect. See, it made Palin candidate for vice-president, 5 more kids and she's back again in 4 years for real. She already had a $2 million offer from a porn director to play in his movies aka presidential prep. Paris Hilton with kids should be able to take over her family's business and not bankrupt it. Point is, if science confirms it and you want to suggest to a dumb that she needs to do something about her IQ, the politically correct way to say it might be 'I think you need some babies and I can help...'

Most men would have sex with beautiful female celebrities even if that wouldn't raise their IQ. We don't always have to help women that much ! :)

If large head means higher IQ...

I better go study plastic surgery and get my specialty on head extensions. Didn't Einstein say "Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former"?? I'll be a busy as hell plastic sergeant with a client portfolio and a patients waiting list stretching to infinity :)

Einstein's brain was measured and studied and it was small. There were areas very dense thought. This says a lot. I seriously doubt that a large head or brain equals high intelligence. It is about the shape and density of certain areas of the brain.

Shape and density huh? Maybe I should reconsider plastic surgery then. perhaps someone with a head full of angles can turn out to have very sharp IQ, so turning his round head into a polygon might help. I'll use that theory in my statement of purpose I think hehe, good food for thinking you gave me here :)

If there's still too much hot air inside that polygon head you're gonna make, stuff it with some mummy jam. it should take care of the density :)

If I tell you that whoever started the tradition of throwing coins into fountains must not have been wishing for money and you agree with the explanation then, like most people, you are not made for business. But if you add that the guy who started the tradition did not wish for money because he owned the fountain, I'd like to hire you.

don't you hate the sort of people who are not smart but think they are, the sort of guys who blab about 'their' ideas, try to impress all the time or push their opinions on to others? they are so full of hot air, aren't they? it's always the case. i thought of a clever way to bring them down to earth and deflate their egos. at some point they will get to ask 'it's a great idea don't you think?' to which I reply, "yeees, it's interesting, where did you read that?"...'oh no no no this is my idea...' :P

Smart undies

I'm all in favor of smart underwear for both men and women that play messages depending on what you do with them. For example, if the girl is too early in removing it she can be told "Missile not ready for launch yet" or when the guy removes hers "Put on a condom NOW!"

Of course, with the rise of artificial intelligence there is no need to stop with simple messages. Once the ice is broken one's underpants can become a good friend giving advice on the latest theater productions, advising on political choices, tackle bedsores, warning when one's children need looking after and, of course, comforting one in time of trial and stress. When the underpants become aware of the web, it can participate in all sorts of networking since, on the net, no-one knows you are a pair of underpants :-)

Clever. Punctuation!

I saw this posted on a blackboard as a test question for a class titled Visual Communication. An English professor wrote the words: 'A woman without her man is nothing' then asked his students to punctuate it correctly. All the males in the class wrote: 'A woman, without her man, is nothing.' All the females in the class wrote: 'A woman: without her, man is nothing.' Explain. I don't know who thought of that test question, but I think it's clever. Punctuation is. Powerfu!

The lost beauty of George W. Bush

People made fun or criticized Bush for not being smart or intellectual enough as president. Yet what people don't realize is that Bush was probably the most skilled president in terms of being able to ask a question and embed the answer in it. If you follow Bush's rhetorical questions you will realize that they are not rhetorical at all.

The answer is always embedded in it. Here's an example the media often cite to show how ungrammatically sound Bush is when all he is trying to do is weave the answer in the question.

Bush says: "Rarely is the question asked. Is our children learning?"

It's so obvious they are not and you know that as soon as you read or hear the question. This is a great skill and an act of brilliance by Bush. It was often overlooked in favor of spotting mistakes and making fun of him. That's mistaken!

Smarter password security

Do you save the answers in a security question to a file in your computer? How secure do you think this practice is? When you answer a typical security question, such as what was your first teacher's name, do you check to see if you have already put that information somewhere on your blog, MySpace or Facebook profile? I'm also curious about people's attitudes towards hacking. If someone was hacking into your account but was inflicting a very small, almost insignificant and undetectable damage/change to your privacy, data or financial statement would you rather know about it or not?

To give you an example, suppose the hacker changed one of your 30 or so interests you listed on one of your many profile pages from sailing into rowing, would you really bother to spend the time and effort to improve your security or would you rather let the incident go unanswered until a more serious intrusion happened?

I'm sure people would want to know if a big intrusion occurred but what about a very small one?

What do women like more in a man?

Some men wish they looked better but don't realize that women fall easier to sharp wit and a good sense of humor. Why don't these statistics get published? Wit or humor is not necessarily related to intelligence or knowledge which take years in college to acquire. It's all about training and practice. Men make the mistake to spend too much time at the gym pumping up muscles.

Why not pump up muscles and wit in a gym? A sports gym that promises to train wit and muscles would be value for men's money, time and acuMen. Would women support this initiative?

Does starting a new bank make sense?

My reasoning for starting a new bank is that creditworthy customers would rather trust that their money is held with a bank that is 100% free of toxic assets and that it won't go bust. People tell me I must be crazy to want to start a new bank because a) no one trusts banks any more and b) no one has money any more. I don't think b is true and a happens because existing banks have a lot of bad loans/investments in their books. A new bank that has none of it can earn the trust of creditworthy customers. It seems good business to me to want to start a new bank despite the turmoil in global finance.

Are you Biceptual??

A biceptual is someone that pumps up his muscles with creativity, knowledge, wit and intelligence. He biceptualizes while he sits on the bench and lifts weights. When he trains with a lot of enthusiasm, he shows the world what a horny biceptual he is. His brain is so pumped up its muscles look like this guy's. When he flexes his biceps, veins pop out on the head and beautiful concepts drip down low. Everyone falls on his concepts and touches his biceps. It starts mental, it ends physical and vice-versa. That's the benefit of being a bi-ceptual!! (lol)

If you had the option to born or rich or beautiful but only one of them what would you chose?

I personally choose rich because I believe especially for a rich it's easier in life to marry to a woman who looks nice.

Beautiful men who are attractive in order to go rich in life have to be very very smart at what they do.

This is not the case for a rich man. At least they marry to beautiful women :)

Investing in something has the meaning that you get something back in return for your money. If you purchase a hybrid car what you get in return is the intangible profit of a less polluted atmosphere.

I think we should consider ourselves not just as consumers who buy something but as consumers who choose to buy something over something else because we know this purchase is a kind of investment and support for new technologies that are more environment-friendly over others.

For example, by choosing to buy a hybrid car over a conventional one you indirectly invest in the research behind energy-saving new technologies by supporting corporate profits that help fund research and help attract investors with capital that will in turn fund research in these new technologies.

When it comes to buying your next car for example, would you consider purchasing a hybrid car over a conventional one as a means to invest and support hybrid technologies that are more environment-friendly? Would you ever think of yourself as an investor this way?

Or would you only think of yourself as a consumer who saves money on gasoline or as a driver of a fancy, fast, reliable good car or whatever else its key selling points are?
