how do you usually answer this question. isn't better to say how tall you are, give color of eyes, describe physical appearance than say where you come from, who your father is etc etc people have stereotypes and if you say who you are by talking about your family or country to a stranger you might trigger a stereotype in people's minds. why do we ask this question? can't you just form your own opinion about me over time without asking me to tell you who i am?

The lost beauty of George W. Bush
People made fun or criticized Bush for not being smart or intellectual enough as president. Yet what people don't realize is that Bush was probably the most skilled president in terms of being able to ask a question and embed the answer in it. If you follow Bush's rhetorical questions you will realize that they are not rhetorical at all.
The answer is always embedded in it. Here's an example the media often cite to show how ungrammatically sound Bush is when all he is trying to do is weave the answer in the question.
Bush says: "Rarely is the question asked. Is our children learning?"
It's so obvious they are not and you know that as soon as you read or hear the question. This is a great skill and an act of brilliance by Bush. It was often overlooked in favor of spotting mistakes and making fun of him. That's mistaken!

Do I look fat?
Why am I always asked this question by girls who are much thinner than me? Why do I have to look as if I'm the one with the fat when I'm quite slim for my height? Why don't these fat-obsessed skinny girls stop asking Me this question? Every time they ask me, I look myself in the mirror after. I don't want to but I tend to. If I have a bad day I tell them they put on weight. I don't want to be mean but I can't help it. If I must be asked, I just wish it was done by someone who is not thinner than me. What are the chances that I'll be asked by someone with serious fat issues? None so far...
