How little details will make a difference

It is so simple and easy to try that when I tell people about it they usually find it a good idea. I haven't run a poll on it but I bet most people either never do it because they haven't thought of it or forget/can't be bothered to do it. Let's see.

The world is not flat, only Internet is!

I disagree with Thomas Friedman that the world has become culturally and socially flat just because the virtual world actually is flat. How else can it be that I can virtually communicate and meet anyone I want in the world in the online social space but can't get to easily meet all of them in real life. Social globalization will be complete when people can have physical encounters with anyone in the world with the same ease that they do it online. Physical distance is still a practical big obstacle. When everyone can sleep with everyone else, only then the real world will be flat, hot and crowded, just like the internet is right now :D

Hot dog discrimination

I'm slowly munching my last bite of it and inevitably I ask. Why is it that we can order a hamburger at most restaurants, but the only place we can order a hot dog is at a baseball game or the streets of NYC? I'm sensing some serious food discrimination here.

Lemon mint granita in lemon. Totally. Lemon.

You can get it pretty much in every restaurant in Israel. They are, single-handedly, the most refreshing thing I have ever tasted. Called lemonana. It's bold lemon and mint served in lemon. It's the perfect antidote to the sticky, oppressive summer days to come - frosty, crunchy and tart. You can eat it with a spoon or a fork. Highly recommended to try!

where did you read that?

don't you hate the sort of people who are not smart but think they are, the sort of guys who blab about 'their' ideas, try to impress all the time or push their opinions on to others? they are so full of hot air, aren't they? it's always the case. i thought of a clever way to bring them down to earth and deflate their egos. at some point they will get to ask 'it's a great idea don't you think?' to which I reply, "yeees, it's interesting, where did you read that?"...'oh no no no this is my idea...' :P

How to make an impossible 1st date happen

Buy 2 tickets for the next show in town. Check on FB or MySpace for the best-looking girls and send a last-minute message "Hey, I know this is out of the blue, but i got last minute tickets to this tomorrow. Would you like to go? It's so last minute i am asking a few friends, so whoever gets back to me first..." If the event can be during the day it's better. Use your charm and good luck but Remember! You paid for the ticket, so choose the hottest girls to send the message to..:) If you get no one to come with you, don't waste your money, ask your girlfriend. Good luck on the next show :P

instant date replacement

If your date doesn't show up why not meet someone whose date hasn't shown up either? An online service where people post the time and place of their planned dates and photo. Look up to see whose date in the area hasn't shown up either and text them to meet up. You can easily break the ice by talking about how annoying it is when your date doesn't show up but also how fun it's to meet someone whose date hasn't shown up either. I'd call the service Date Awol Solutions! To encourage use of the site by everyone install internet terminals in major meeting spots around the city :)

Homeless people die from cold, why?

Why don't homeless people move to warm climates where they will never die from cold? I wouldn't mind if some of our taxes or charity money was used to pay the ticket for homeless people to move to warm regions where no one dies from cold. I think this is smart and effective way to spend money and make a difference!

So that we never have to read news like the following:

"Homeless man found dead likely succumbed to cold"

The bitter cold and windy weather appear to have caused the death of a homeless man in his found on the cliffs behind Union City's Doric Apartments today, officials said...

burn no more - either a thermometer sticker/magnet or a cup with a thermometer can save your mouth/lips from burns. i always burn the roof of my mouth, tongue and lips with morning coffee or tea... if i do this repeatedly, i'm worried it could lead to cancer, so, would be great to have a cup that tells the optimal temperature to drink w/o getting burns - sort of like the mood-ring

What about a microwave that cools down your hot food or drink to the temperature you wanted?

It has happened to me many times, I order a coffee or hot chocolate and they serve it so hot, I have to wait for a few minutes before I take a sip or I burn my lips and tongue.

Could be useful. You can ask the staff back, could you cool down for me a bit?

Got a name for it too: Coolwave

I know, it sounds like name of shampoo or something...
