save trees, print less paper

imagine how many trees can be saved if printer settings did not give the option of printing on one side only. a simple adjustment in the settings to make all printers print using both sides of paper means less paper would be consumed. it's probably about half the amount we print now. if you think about it that's a lot of paper!

Toilet paper money

It's been suggested before only as a joke, now let me reiterate it as a half-joke. If printing money is the answer to massive debts and global deflation could we ask that central banks print money on toilet paper so that it's rendered useful if zimbabwe-style inflation sets in? If the quality of paper is smooth and rectum-friendly we won't need foreign exchange markets either. We can just barter, trade, swap, insure or invest in each country's toilet paper comparative advantage. And unlike forex markets, almost every single person in the world uses toilet paper. We're talking of a potential 7-billion-people-essentially-single-currency economy here. Keep it in mind please!

do you ever think of toilet paper? we use it so much it's a necessity. we love to abuse, scratch, stain, scrub and tarnish it, don't we? we molest rile and rag its lovely white color on a rolling basis every single day...if products had rights, toilet paper rights would by definition of use be absolutely shitty and toxic! perhaps if we could reverse the effects of use by coming up with a new kind of toilet paper that comes in crap color and switches to clean white after use. you know, it goes from maculate to immaculate and from molested black to extra virgin white. imagine swiping your... black with it and the paper comes out white instead. that would be The revolution in toilet paper rights!

print media are suckers

they whine about losing business to GOOGLE and online media. NOBODY wants to buy your papers any more. if you want to stay in the paper business, print your news on toilet paper and distribute it daily to every public and private bathroom for a large discount to regular clean-ass paper. when i don't like what i read i can just wipe my ass with your crap and put it into good use. that's how i like to consume the tons of crap you're selling. i might consider using it to blow my nose too but that's only when you sell me something paperworthy.

I propose the following research topic. Do anal-sex lovers buy more of premium quality toilet paper or not? One could imagine that if someone derives pleasure from something, that something will be treated gently and with great care. Sales data might show, however, that sexual pleasure and care for its source are not related. But what if they are??

Vote Against!

What is your opinion about making the Protest Vote in a democracy more explicit and direct? We consider it a Protest Vote when people vote for a minority or fringe candidate that has no chance of getting elected or when they post a blank or spoiled ballot paper. What if, instead of voting for the candidates we like, we voted against the candidates we don't like and the candidate with the least amount of Against Votes wins. I know it sounds cynical, but isn't the Protest Vote in the many indirect forms it takes more cynical anyway??

How to find inspiration for your paper

I would like to put here, emphatically, that the best cure for a writer's block is manual labor. If you're having trouble with a story or something, get up, and mow a lawn, move heavy boxes, take a walk, whatever. The muse is loosened by the sweat of your brow. I just had my fair dose of it and now feel ready to wrestle over this paper due tomorrow. Or maybe I am still procrastinating musing out loud on the web instead of rambling paper thoughts on Word (lol)

how can we wrap a digital present?

isn't it fun to unwrap presents? it adds to the excitement, doesn't it? how can we replicate the experience when it comes to a digital present purchased online and sent via an email link to download? wouldn't it mean more sales if we could somehow produce the effect? one way is to show an animation and replicate the sound of paper torn while the file is downloading. that leaves the hands bare. why do we like unwrapping presents? it's the mystery of not knowing what's inside. or the care that's been taken to present the item as a present. in the latter case it's a symbol that triggers an emotion. how do we come up with that symbol in a digital product offered online?

perhaps watching a video in virtual reality of the gift giver searching for the present, finding it and wrapping it? or a video showing us unwrapping the present which has been rendered to look like it has physical form? does wrapping translate as presentation in the online world? i don't know. can you think of something to suggest?

Stationary products for nervous people

How about a paperclip that you can give it all sorts of shapes while on the phone but reverts back to its original shape and use after you finish playing with it? The concept is to create stationary products for people who are stressed and nervous and allow them to release their emotions without destroying them. What material could they be made off I wonder. if you look closely at the bag, it's not the real lv logo but it looks a lot like it. it's a knockoff. what will lv sell next to survive the recession...toilet paper?? maybe the people who use it want to make a statement that their garbage is a luxury they can no longer afford so they throw it away. if you buy two packs of the trash bags, do you get lv toilet paper for free? worse, do people who use them put the trash in a normal bag first and then cover it with the lv bag so that lv doesn't get spoiled from the inside?? that seems a more appropriate, pretentious use of an expensive designer trash bag. how tacky! lol

more efficient use of toilet paper

every time we leave the task of rolling toilet paper to manual, we use more than we need. an automatic toilet paper dispenser that locks in the amount of paper to be rolled and cut would be a good product idea for savings on the paper's use by adults and children alike. each family member inputs in memory the desired length of toilet paper that they think is right/optimal for them. the gadget should be designed and marketed for use by everyone and not be seen as an aid for disabled folks only.
