Same and eternal...

Do you ever think that life after death may be the eternal replay of the life we live in this life? Is that the fundamental essence of life?

To live it in the most fulfilling and happy way we can because if we don't we'll end up living the same unhappy life over and over again? Is that the meaning of life? or...death??

Is it really possible to take control of one's life and make it "happy" ?

Doesn't anyone have a problem with the idea of a life after death being the exact same repeat of life before death?

The equal distribution of happiness

I empathize with the sense of fairness that propels people to desire a more equal distribution of wealth and resources. Should we all get the same pay and privileges? Sure.

But then, why shouldn't we all get the same love and respect, the same health and happiness, the same cute little butt and big boobs? Why don't we desire more of that as well? To be equally loved and appreciated. Why does life have to be such a capitalist bitch if its goal is to teach us 'communistically' that finding meaning in life is common to all, yet it should be defined individually?

Life Without The Internet

Can you imagine it? I can't. I would struggle to get through the day without my fix. In that sense it's not much different from any other addiction. If you can't have it then you begin to exhibit withdrawal symptoms. These symptoms could include:

Feeling of purposelessness in life.

A general volatility in temper.

Starting up your web browser just to watch the error message and to gaze wistfully at the now-lifeless status bar.

Attempting to reconstruct the google search page in your head and fondly reminiscing about the good old days.

Frantically loading any saved web pages you may have in your cache to gaze lovingly at them. But it's like entering a Ferrari showroom, you can feel and get in the car, but you can't drive it anywhere. The showroom manager won't even let you take it on a test drive because he can sense you would never be able to afford it.

Just to clarify, the net is working fine now. But there have been times in my life, when my happiness has been cruelly crushed, when all hope is driven out of me to be replaced by a bleak vacuum of nothingness. There have been times when the internet stopped working.

Life insurance on the dead

Have you seen Ghost the movie? My idea is to insure people who are afraid someone they know who died will come back to life to haunt them. It's not fair that only the dead can play tricks on those alive. The alives and their families should be insured against people who can cause harm even after they die!

Live forever on Facebook

If you can't remove your profile on Facebook, what happens to it after you die? It stays there and no one updates it. No one will even know you died unless someone posts your death notice somewhere. I can imagine the perfect application for Facebook, one that maintains and updates people's profiles after they die. It will send gifts, accept friend requests, send new friend requests, use other applications etc. The name of this new application? Eternal! And you can install it on your profile any time, even after you die, no problem, your lack of privacy continues to be respected on Facebook after death :)

Philosophy tries to answer what the meaning Of life is. Psychology guides people to find meaning In life, the life they live in. I am not concerned with the fact that none of the two fields give entirely satisfactory and complete answers. I am pointing out that they look for answers in different directions.
