The Global Warming Conspiracy?

Disclaimer: I have few, if any facts to support what I am about to post and I'm not even sure I believe it myself. It's just a thought.

It seems to me that environmentalists may have been played like a stradivarius on this one. Not so long ago, environmentalists were actually doing good things and making substantial progress, especially in the area of pollution (clean air and water, hiking trails etc).
But now you don't seem to hear much about that anymore, all you hear about is this nebulous sword of Damocles known as Global Warming. I get the sneaking suspicion that it was all orchestrated, with marvelous success, to divert attention away from real progress and regulations pertaining to fundamental environmental issues.

As long as there is no agreement and people are kept arguing, nothing gets done...about anything.

Facilitate space debris collection

Make all spaceship and satellite equipment from material that transmit their exact location. Develop a website, perhaps only NASA can do that, which monitors their orbital fall back to earth. By giving out the exact location of their fall on earth, space enthusiasts will go collect them. If they fall in remote places, the locals can pick them up and sell them via auction on eBay. NASA will certify the authenticity of recovered items such as an astronaut's glove claimed to be Neil Amstrong's or a screwdriver belonging to Yuri Gagarin. When facing budget cuts, NASA can collect the items itself and put them for sale on eBay to raise money for its programs:)

Life is what you make of it. Right? What about Sex? Is Sex what you make of it? And orgasms...Are orgasms what you make of it? For instance if I decided I wanted to have an earth shattering one right now?

What if we could create some kind of artificial partial solar eclipse?

This will reduce the amount of solar energy that gets to the earth.

I think I had read somewhere that some people had come up with the idea of creating large space-blankets that will orbit the earth and reflect sunlight back to the sun.

Whatever needs to be built, the main idea is this. Since we can't seem to have a way to remove green house gases from the atmosphere, we can at least try to reduce the amount of solar energy that gets to the Earth!

Any other ideas how to do so?

Carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas that exists in the earth's atmosphere. CO2 however becomes solid at temperatures below -78 °C. In its solid state, carbon dioxide is commonly called dry ice. I thought the following. If scientists can find a way to cool atmosphere at that level then large chunks of it can be removed from the atmosphere. CO2 at a solid state will just fall from the sky like dry ice due to gravity!

Use Picasa for Google Earth photos

I am a great fun of Google and its software. I use Picasa to organize my photos and Google Earth to look up addresses or places I want to go to. I noticed that Google Earth allows users to upload photos using this service called Panoramio but the photos you can see are limited. Why don't they use their own software Picasa instead?

I think it would have been much better if Google Earth users could have access to Picasa users' photos that are public. This way there would be a larger supply of photos to choose from and more variety for the end-user.
