A special kind of love given to people who suck

1. You're reading my comment
2. Now you're saying/thinking that that's a stupid fact.
4. You didn't notice that I skipped 3.
5. You're checking it now.
6. You're smiling.
7. You're still reading my comment.
8. You know all you have read is true.
10. You didn't notice that I skipped 9.
11. You're checking it now.
12. You didn't notice there are only 10 facts

When a man 'loves' a woman...

Which part of his body grows to at least three times its size?? As I'm sure the answer that comes to your mind first is the wrong one, I'll give 2 hints.

#1: It starts with a p but it doesn't end in an s.

#2: It has a round shape and women love to look at it.

LOVE DETECTOR TEST

How many people actually marry for genuine love and not for other reasons?
Imagine if everyone had to sit a love detector test, which, like a lie detector test, would be wired up to a machine and asked questions about their true intentions in marriage and find out whether their goals are conflicting. If one or both of the couple scores less than 80%, they have to then sit through mandatory couple counselling sessions to sort out their differences and work out whether each person has the ability to fulfill the other person's needs.

Some common examples of reasons people seek marriage other than love:
- Money/Lifestyle/Status
- "I want a baby!!!"
- "I'm getting old"
- "I can't do better so I'll have to settle for him/her"
- "I want someone to make me happy (because I don't know how to be happy otherwise!")
- All of the above

Then there's the most common one that many mistake for genuine love (the kind that makes for a long-term fulfilling marriage). This is the endorphin-charged "head in the clouds" in love feeling, which is just a temporary state. People who thrive on this buzz are the serial brides and grooms, who the moment they find this feeling, feel the desire to rush down the aisle of marriage.

you just broke up

How long is it acceptable to you that your EX needs to wait before he/she has sex? Who cares right? Why would you want to know that your EX had sex in the first place?

Well, if it wasn't your decision you may care about it. It depends on what the two of you had. For some people even next day is okay. For me after something special it could be months, even years

emotion or logic

When I have to take a personal decision I usually follow my instinct and my emotions. It's very hard for me to follow my logic even when I know that is what I have to do. I try to work on that. Any suggestions?

Emotions have a logic too, use your logic to understand their logic and follow the logic of your logic in taking control over your emotions. Why don't you try work on that?

Love without compatibility. Is it enough?

A lot of people go through relationships where they feel genuine love for their partner but at some point they realize that they are not compatible in terms of personality. I often wonder, is love enough to keep a relationship or is being compatible more important? I think to be able to live a non-dysfunctional and happy life together, compatibility is required. On the other hand, if one is compatible with someone but doesn't feel deep love for him or her, is it enough to guarantee a happy and functional relationship? This thought always intrigues me because I'm not sure what the answer is.

Compatibility without love. Does it work?

This is the second poll from my previous posting about 'Love without compatibility' (http://www.thinkaloo.com/ideas/view/view_idea.php?id=1442) I would like to ask here the reverse. Is compatibility without love enough to make a relationship work? If you voted in the other poll please vote in this one too. Thank you.

Words express human feelings. Jealousy, love, hate, anger, disappointment, sadness etc. When someone describes their feelings in words, the feeling is felt or understood based on one's own experience of the same feeling.

But, if someone came up with a new word to describe a feeling you never experienced in your life before, what does even a detailed description of it actually convey to you? Can we experience feelings we never felt before? Is the range of human feelings infinite?

Love, love is just a leap of faith he said.
You have to believe in it for it to exist.
If you stop believing then it dies…
It’s just like God he continued
If you don’t believe in God, then God doesn’t exist. God is dead.
So do love and God come from the same place, he asked?
It would seem so, that would explain why people say that God is love.
