what's the material black box is made of? in every plane crash it's usually the only thing that survives so why not make the whole airplane from the same material so that it also survives?

increase armrest space
I can think of many places where this is necessary. air planes, buses, cinemas, theaters etc. A passenger can't be expected to cut or shorten their arms but a company could increase the space of the armrest. This is important because people from different cultures have different ways to deal with intrusion to what they consider as their private space. Elbow cups with soft cushion inside would also be a good idea.

Fart Up your tires!!
This posting requires that you picture it as you read. Keep your nose open too. Now imagine you could use your farts to inflate your car tires. Imagine a pipe wired into the seat with an opening on the seat's surface to carry the hot gas inside.
If the gas doesn't exit fast enough or with enough force a small pump can help suck it into the tires.
On the plus side a patent like this eliminates the need to open the window of your car to ventilate the space inside and helps avoid embarrassment if others are in it as well.
The air pressure inside the tires always stays at the right amount which keeps the car in better balance.
And if the idea works well in cars it can be scaled next to buses and planes where the higher and more diverse the supply of gas the better the condition of the tires inside!
Before you get used to picturing this too much, let's see how much humor you can handle.
Say you're going to use this system in the future for your car. That by itself would mean you must have a good sense of humor. So why not display it with some kind of writing on the tires?
As you can see in the photos on the right, I made up four slogans you can put on your tires. Which one do you think better describes what will be happening inside your tires?

My office Is the airplane
No I'm not a pilot. I'm a writer and I always get my best thoughts and ideas when I'm flying. Something about being on air brings torrents of creativity in me. My imagination runs sweet and sour faster when I find myself traveling above cloud level. I really do work better when I'm flying. At the moment, I can't afford to travel as often as I would like but when my next best-seller surpasses the Da Vince code this is what I have in mind to do.
I'll start a new airline and I will call it Sky Author Airways. The fountain pen will be its logo. It will accept as its passengers authors journalists and writers who have published at least one book and want to use a flight as an office space. The decoration will be relaxed, something like a miniature of Google on air. There will be laptops with internet connection to use inside the plane. There will also be a printer and binder to print anything in book format that is downloaded online. This could work in partnership with a major publisher and retailer like Amazon.
There will also be a small library in the luggage compartment below which will be updated based on the passengers' preferences on each flight. Passengers will not be paying on a per travel basis but on a monthly basis. In other words the charge will be the same as renting office space. The only requirement will be that if the flight is booked on the day you want to fly you will have to take another route.
Of course passengers can use Sky Author Airways to combine it with their travel plans but the main goal of traveling with Sky Author is to use it as office space. Instead of working say 8 hours in an office you can take an 4 hour flight somewhere and come back by the end of the work day. Whoever is in the writing or creative business and in need of office space on air will be welcome to use Sky Author Airways!

Save last words in the black box...
A very macabre thought, nevertheless one that needs to be spoken out. With airline accidents, plane crashes and terrorist hijackings on the rise, a passenger's last words might be the only thing left to be passed to the bereaved families. Where's the best place to store last words then? hmmm...black box flight recorder? It's the only thing that certainly gets recovered after a plane crash and it records everything that goes on in the cockpit, so why not store records of passengers' last words too? I can't think of a better device to store the data. Passengers can use the hand sets on their seats to speak their last words with voice data passed and stored automatically in the black box.

An intranet system for commercial flights
What about installing an intranet system on commercial flights whereby passengers could text chat or play games with each other? Passengers could use live text chat to meet or talk to other passengers or play games with others on the flight without having to change seats to do that. Isn't a long flight more fun when you happen to be seated next to someone who is very interesting to meet and talk to? How often does it happen though? Instead of leaving it all to chance and serendipity, an intranet system that can connect each and every passenger in the same way online social networks and playing games do would make flights more fun and interesting.

Why fly when there's Photoshop?
Have Americans lost their minds? Here's a high-IQ question. Did terrorists take down all legal copies of Photoshop from FAA computers Or did they they just hack into officials' common-sense and replaced it with a sick sense of humor?
Before asking why it had to fly Low, I want to ask why Air Force One, escorted by two F-16s, had to actually fly over the New York skyline in order to take shots of the plane! Couldn't an intern edit the photo without authorizing an expensive photo-op flight over NY? I thought there is an economic crisis going on. These flights cost money and if they are not necessary they should not be authorized on economic grounds, not to mention New Yorkers sensibilities.
That was a sick joke for New Yorkers and if Osama-Bin-Laden is reading the story from his laptop cave, he is probably emailing the FAA, the CIA and the White House asking them to authorize low photo-op flights over Pakistan. Like Obama, he must be furious old images of him are still circulating in the media years after 9/11. If Osama's spokesman states that his boss is upset the CIA circulates old copies of him to the media, I am ready to accept that the Afghani guy is actually more grounded in his request than the FAA officials that authorized the flight.
I want to also prepare myself not to be surprised if Osama, out of empathy for the economic pain felt by millions of Americans announces that he is willing to pay for the cost of those photo-op flights over Pakistan.
I don't know what you think of this incident but I think it was a very sick joke to play on New Yorkers and also rude to everyone else suffering in this crisis.
If Americans are running out of common-sense sensitivity, what happened to their common-sense economic sensibility?
What's wrong with using Photoshop?
