increase armrest space

I can think of many places where this is necessary. air planes, buses, cinemas, theaters etc. A passenger can't be expected to cut or shorten their arms but a company could increase the space of the armrest. This is important because people from different cultures have different ways to deal with intrusion to what they consider as their private space. Elbow cups with soft cushion inside would also be a good idea.

The Realist school of acting :)

He slashed himself with a knife for real on stage. The audience loved it and applauded him. Actor and audience performance? Touche. Before you know someone will go ask him for a signed autograph spilled with his blood and auction it on eBay. Touche Memorial. With the move of a knife he just pioneered a) the realist school of acting b) the fast road to acting fame c) the too sick for sick leave guild d) the no volunteers to replace the lunatic, please! e) a knife-sharp increase in actors' life insurance premiums and f) a critics debate as to whether the play falls under genres 'Live Horror' or 'Noh Harakiri'. He also succeeded in keeping a theater fully booked by staying alive inspiring the next season's blockbuster play titled "We'll let him die this time...satisfaction guaranteed or his throat back". Touche Grand! Granted!!

The audience's thoughts

An experimental idea for a theater play. The audience sits on stage and the actors are scattered sitting in the audience seats. The spotlight shines on the actors who perform the play about an audience's thoughts during a play, talking out loud, reciting or discussing them with the person sitting next to them. The real audience is on stage and watches what is going in the minds of that imaginary audience which could be them. It be interesting to record the real audience on video and study their reactions. Are they different, perhaps more engaging and forthcoming? Does sitting on stage, the space where actors usually perform, have an effect on audience behavior?

good comedy Warning!

"This comedy will make you laugh very hard and without warning, so please don't drink or eat during show time. Do so at your own risk or only if you are skilled enough to eat or drink without swallow. We have tested the comedy on a group of 20 people, 2 of which choked to death from eating and drinking while laughing out loud, very loud"

Silence is gold but laugh can be fatal. I don't know if it's possible to ban eating and drinking in the movies, especially in comedies, but I happened to witness a couple choking to death from laughing out loud while eating and drinking since the start of the movie. Sounds crazy but it wasn't funny to hear them choking and patting each other in the back. Not that a warning in the beginning of the movie will avert a potential choking but at least there will be no excuse that people were not warned!

Previews at The End

Why should previews be shown only at the start of a movie? What about showing a few previews after the movie has finished? Previews at the end will cost less as they will probably be seen by fewer people but even if only half the audience stays seated to watch them, that's still good enough for the advertisers whose trailers will be shown to viewers who are more interested in watching them.

Mamma Mia, Pappa Trio

Wouldn't that be a more descriptive title for the famous musical and movie? One mamma and three fathers taken one at a time classifies as a trio. The play was written in the 60s where DNA testing wasn't a popular method to discover paternity and know for sure who your father is. Perhaps that's why great stories like Mamma Mia can not be inspired in our times. The DNA testing kills the most imaginative Pappa Trio part of the story. [As we say in Greek, the Pappa takes his Tria tou...] :D:D:D

Turn off your mobile phone, don't play with your keys but feel free to eat pop-corn or snacks while watching a movie. Silence is gold but gold is hard to get in the movies! Pop-corn munching, paper folding...if the theater is full, then eating corn and drinking pop makes very annoying noise. If silence Is gold, why don't we ban pop-corn and other food in the movies so we can all get rich?

If genius and talent is 99% perspiration and 1% inspiration then what a better way to measure those two on a live theatrical play through the body responses of the audience! What if the seats the audience sits on were made to gather that data. In the movie "The Lives of Others" Stasi uses an interrogation technique where the suspect keeps his sweaty palms pressed to the seat of his chair so as to get a sample of his sweat on an impregnated cloth before it can be given to a tracker dog to sniff.

What if the seats in a theater were made so as to monitor the amount and timing that bodily fluids are produced (sweat, tears etc) as well as the audience's movements on the chair, their vibrations from laughter etc!

If we could gather all that data, wouldn't we be able to have a most accurate review for a play or a live performance? I imagine that the theater of the future has seats that can provide these data and posts the results online for everyone to read along with the reviews.
