which letter is most popular?

could google count all the instances each individual letter appears on the web and then rank them by most use? i had this strange thought that if an article is written with words that make more use of the most popular letter people will probably read it faster. if such assumption holds true then a new software algorithm can be made to suggest edits on long texts for faster reading.

A thought for shy people

I took the long road to work this morning. As I walked down the street with the sun warming my back and stretching that long shadow of mine ahead I caught myself churning thoughts for the people who never talk to each other for lack of confidence in their words. Strangers would pass by and as our shadows overlapped I was given the joy to observe their silent play. I began to imagine about a new world where shadows had a life of their own. How they would start talking to each other as I and the two very shy strangers next to me were now all walking side by side down the street. There was a lovely December chill in the morning air. Call me the incurably romantic on it but if it wasn't for their shadows 'kissing' into each other these total strangers would never have met. They would never exchange a word not even an innocent smile of introduction!

There are few things worse than an untimely erection...

Add your own thoughts to the second part of the sentence if you like. Anyway, for me, the most obvious would be the untimely LACK of an erection...:D:D

The value of a thought

Hi everyone, I'm a new member. I enjoy reading what gets posted here but I have an observation to make. If your thoughts have values and are worth some money, does that mean that if I steal all the money from your thoughts your thoughts have no value any more? Huh? In my view, if you want to value thoughts with money, starting with this one (!) that's not such a bad idea. To think, however, that a thought has value because it has money, to me, that is absolutely aloo-dicrous idea :-)

Predict your future by controlling future outcomes?

What if we had the ability to read other people's thoughts as soon as they are conceived? Wouldn't that be a great way to control our future? Say you asked someone to do something and while they take the time to answer with a yes or no, you can know what they're thinking, what holds them back or what excites them about your request! Wouldn't that kind of knowledge give you the power to shape any future outcome to your advantage?

If you could control the way a certain outcome will play out, isn't that a better alternative to our lack of ability as humans to predict the future? If being able to predict the future is impossible, is being able to control it or at least shape its direction the next best thing to it?

There are many movies and science-fiction scenarios out there in which people can either predict the future or know it in advance. I think it would be far more interesting to have a movie or a scenario where people can read other people's thoughts and adjust their behavior based on that information and not based on advance knowledge of the future.

Can't think of a better way to describe the feeling. If your thoughts don't come out easy, maybe it's a good idea to spray the exit a little...
