I'll tell you what we need. A chemical that turns saliva into a poison/virus/germ detector. If there's a dangerously poisonous substance or germ in my food or drink, then my saliva creates a strong foul taste in the mouth that forces me to spit out the food immediately. It never gets into into the stomach to be digested and cause damage.

First, the chemical must be harmless like a vaccine with no bad side-effects. If it can be made to destroy any poison inadvertently swallowed even better.

ATM sterilization service

I read about good hygiene and how necessary it is to prevent the spread of viruses, germs and the flu and I am thinking, wouldn't it be a great idea if ATMs would sterilize/disinfect the ATM card and the cash we deposit and withdraw from them? ATMs won't save mankind from the next epidemic, fine, but that's one less source of spreading worms and germs around. And cash is dirty because not Everyone knows how to launder it properly. Corrupt leaders try hard to teach but the masses refuse to learn. Not everyone can be a good money-launderer so better to sterilize the money supply :D

I don't understand how new viruses come across so often , especially related to animals when medicine is so much developed. Could someone explain this to me?

10,000 reasons to be upset at humans if you're a PIG!

I've been called a pig in my life before so I'll imagine being a pig for a moment and see what it's like. Being killed by humans and eaten up for my taste gives me more than 10,000 reasons to be upset at them. What really hurts my feelings, however, is when I get falsely accused for passing the virus to humans and then scientists discover it was actually a Mexican farmer who first passed it to pigs Nobody apologizes to me. When I realize that billions of Muslims and vegetarians around the world don't eat me not because they respect me like a holy cow is respected in India but because they consider me dirty and filthy and bad for health, the blow to my feelings is just too heavy to take...which makes me think that being called a pig might not be so insulting considering that Being a pig and raised in a world ruled by humans is such tough life :((

Fludicrous Masks

Oink! Don't you think people tend to panic over nothing? 60 cases in the U.S. is not a reason to walk around in masks. Thousands die every year from regular flu, so what makes 60 a pandemic? What's fludicrous is that people wearing masks touch everything with bare hands then reach under their masks to touch their face, scratch their nose, eat food, etc without washing hands or sanitizing. If you must wear the mask, wear the whole attire, you know gloves and stuff, buy the mask in different color to match the rest of your clothes and print your name on it. I think I want an array of them to match my outfits too.

Awww, we haven't had a proper media frenzy this year so they've got to do something!!

Does the flu scare you?

The source of the virus reminds me of the Black Swan theory by Nicholas Taleb. A Black Swan is defined as an event which is unpredictable but once it breaks out its consequences are massive.

Experts say up to 30 million people could die if a pandemic breaks out. The economic loss is massive. People fear to go out, buy less and the economy collapses. People order food supplies from home and spray the bags before they take them inside. All life moves online because the virus can't yet transmit through the PC no matter how many peer to peer connections are open or illegal downloads are made. But what if the virus is that of a Black Swan, what if it mutates and starts spreading over the internet all of a sudden? What do you do Then?? Why are you still reading this?
