Most people know by now that new regulations are that you can't carry any liquid over 100ml with you in the plane. Yet some still don't know and many who do know also forget, carry it with them all the way to security check and then are told they have to leave it behind. Since the passenger already checked in their luggage that nice wine gift stays back with customs and most of the time it's never reclaimed. That's because it's not easy to do. How about the item that's left over is immediately tagged and the passenger is given a track number to trace their item online and order it to be shipped at special discount rates given by the airline company the customer flew with.
This is a good idea to keep customers happy don't you think?

Would it be too embarrassing to order just dessert?
Dessert is a course that typically comes at the end of a meal but I am thinking that in a weak economy people should become creative with cost-cutting and try to keep doing as many of the activities they were used to as possible. One is going out to eat in a restaurant. I guess I can eat at home and then go out in a restaurant with my friends and just order dessert and perhaps a drink to go with it.
Restaurants which will experience a huge drop in business need not advertise their plight in their websites by saying they accept dessert-only meals but if customers come in and order just dessert they should be happy to provide it and train the staff not to express any sign of surprise when they take the order.

Dinner at home or home-made dinner?
When you invite someone at your place for dinner would you ever consider passing out (some) take-away food or home-delivery recipes as your own cooking? If most dishes are yours, what's wrong with passing one or two you didn't have time to make as yours? I see nothing wrong with ordering extras and mixing it with home-made dinner. My question is would you tell your guest or pass it as yours?
