Kitchen on the go

You'll probably laugh at the thought, but how about a truly mobile food delivery business that operates in a truck? The kitchen is fitted in the truck which does a regular itinerary during the day around the city. The customer can email, fax or sms the order and have it instantly delivered either to his place or wherever he might be, even on the street. With GPS technology both the customer and the truck driver can see where each other is.

The major daily cost for such business will be gas but that can amount to less than monthly rent if the trucks are hybrid or even electric. Who knows, maybe in the near future such business can be competitive and profitable.

Home-delivery meal-planning

For a while I've wanted to start an online home-delivery meal-planning business. Most people I know in Australia who are on meal-planning start it because they want to cut down on the cost of groceries and put an end to wasteful spending. At the moment, no meal-planning business in Australia offers home-delivery which means people either have to shop through another online retailer or go out and buy the ingredients. Either option defeats the purpose of saving money and cutting down on buying stuff you don't really need.

I think people who are on meal-planning will like the idea of not having to go out to shop and be tempted. My home-delivery meal-planning business will only stock and deliver what is on the list. I think this idea can sell very well. I want to ask people on this site for feedback.

Dinner at home or home-made dinner?

When you invite someone at your place for dinner would you ever consider passing out (some) take-away food or home-delivery recipes as your own cooking? If most dishes are yours, what's wrong with passing one or two you didn't have time to make as yours? I see nothing wrong with ordering extras and mixing it with home-made dinner. My question is would you tell your guest or pass it as yours?
