I read somewhere that concerned CIA officials have created a new organization called People for the Ethical Treatment of Americans (PETA). Throughout the world, incidents of mistreatment of Americans have been increasing at an alarming rate. Founded after 9/11, PETA operates under the basic principle that Americans are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on, or use for entertainment without their consent. Then I was reminded of this video I had seen a few years ago.

I am a computer lover, I love my machines, they make us so much smarter than we can ever be without them. Instead of rewarding them with CPU and other upgrades, some people display unimaginable cruelty and physical violence towards them.
Following the example of concerned CIA officers, I'm thinking of starting a new organization called People for the Ethical Treatment of Computers(PETCO).
Starting today, I'm actively recruiting all sensitive souls who are gentle and caring to their computer pets. What say you?

Automatic screensaver disable
For further convenience, allow PowerPoint and other video/photo presentation software to automatically disable the screensaver on the laptop during presentations or video/photo streaming. A lot of people forget to disable the screensaver before giving a presentation and imagine the embarrassment if the screen suddenly displayed something inappropriate...

laplord
title reserved for people who use their laptop as originally intended, on the lap! there are so many kinds of laplords depending on where one's strong preference for lapwork lies, e.g. one can be an airport laplord, a park bench laplord, a home laplord, a bed and sofa laplord, an armchair laplord, a carpet laplord, a toilet seat laplord and so forth...the laplord is identified by his strong dislike of all flat cold and non-human surfaces on which to place his pet and a feeling of utter joy and happiness when he does so on his lap. excuse me for a moment, I must flush the toilet...
ok the laplord, in other words, is a very sensitive creature. after prolonged petting and depending on the machine's fitness and capacity to exhale, streams of warm air are felt on his knees and warm up his heart. the laplord is cozy, homy and very loyal. for instance, he never pets with more petite possessions such as mobile phones and handheld devices or big elephant creatures such as desktops. praise the laplord for his virtue and unconditional love to his creature!

More power plugs needed in airports

Why aren't there more plugs in airports to power your laptop longer while you wait for your flight? What's the point of offering wireless internet service everywhere in an airport when there aren't enough plugs around to power it longer?
This is bad business for companies that offer wireless internet service in airports. If I only had 1 hour of battery left in my laptop, I would only pay for 1 hour of internet service even though I could have paid more to stay online longer had there been more plugs around!

You can only plug your laptop if you fly business or first-class, but I certainly wouldn't mind it if I was asked to pay a few dollars more for my economy class ticket and have electric outlet for my laptop. I also think that since passengers can place calls during a flight, companies should make internet access available as well. When you fly on economy on a long flight, internet access and a laptop that works on the plug can make a big difference!
