A eunuch was a castrated man that served as guard or servant to the emperor/king. Because he was castrated he was considered very trustworthy. We find eunuchs in ancient Greece, Persia, Turkey, India and China. At the end of the Ming Dynasty, for example, there were about 70,000 eunuchs employed by the emperor. I'm thinking.
Why castrate 70,000 straight men and not employ 70,000 gay men to protect the harem? Were the women in the harem so gay-tempting gorgeous or were gay men such a rare species back then? Or was the ruler afraid his guards might be tempted to guard him from too close a distance one day? :)

Aren't youth hostels the safest places to stay?
If motels are usually the meeting places for criminals and luxury hotels in foreign countries are targets for terrorists then that leaves out youth hostels as the safest and cheapest place to stay. When I travel I always choose to stay in them and after the killings in India I will cancel all my bookings in Mumbai. To cancel is the only way I can afford to stay in such hotels anyway! :D

What about a website service where people from all over the world upload a message that would be heard when a taxi driver in China or India or any country in the world presses his or her car horn to warn a pedestrian. Car drivers will be able to download it via their mobile phones or via wireless internet and use it as car horn. It can be a ring tone or a person's voice with a message in your own language or in a foreign language.
If you upload your own message, you will be notified by the website service daily as to how many times and in which countries your voice was heard. The people that used your voice to replace their usual car horn sound will be able to give you feedback online as to the reaction people had when they heard it. Wouldn't it be fun? What do you think?
