President Swap

Hello America. This is Europe calling. Congratulations for your new President! Better days are ahead for you. How about we swap Presidents with you for a year? It'll be like a student exchange, an erasmus study abroad thing or a library book loan. We'll return him to you. It's a good deal for us because so long as we don't have to vote for him it's the only way we can ever have any kind of non-White President here. Don't worry, we'll dress him well Benetton style using the old maverick beauty of European Democracy. As always, we'll let America take the wheel while we sit comfortably in the back seat. Yes we can...Swap. Old European farts!

Discount to Kill. Only in America!!

How do you know if the price is right in America? You count the dead bodies. I love the ironies in free-market capitalism practiced only in USnA. The seller gives a deadly discount thinking this will help his business when it actually hurts it. If the buyer's dead the only one who gets new business is the funeral services company next door and perhaps a few lawyers to deal with the lawsuit to the seller for giving out the deadly discounts in the first place. In America people work hard and kill for a discount. Of course, when they do that the only thing that gets discounted is the kill. In the Middle East foreigners work hard and we the locals kill time or if we have too much of it then some of our diehards kill foreigners. It's Kill (the store's) Bill vs Kill (the) Rolex (guys)!

People in the USnA think of us as terrorists but the USnA has now its own new breed of terrorists. The Al Qaedas kill to right what they mistakenly think as wrong. The American Discount Terrorists kill to get the price right, or never get it at all if they end up dead! So how do you know if the price's right in America? You check the obituaries first :)

Did you notice that no one ever reports the deadly price of the toy over which people got killed in America? Was it that cheap really they didn't want more people to get killed?? :))

Why the China man won't spend

SunTzu said: If the enemy is weak because he overspent, don't overspend or you'll become weak too. Said it but didn't write it.

SunTzu then said and wrote: "All warfare is based on deception...If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles"

The world hopes the Chinese and the other Asians will spend the West out of recession. Ok, here is why if you read SunTzu you know this will never happen.

The Chinese know themselves. They like to save. They look at the West and they see that it overspent and is in trouble. What's the lesson they get?

Stick to saving. Don't do what your rival did and got him in trouble. Just give the appearance you might in the form of big government spending plans.

How deception works. The government announces big spending plans and the world thinks the Chinese man will suddenly start spending. But the Chinese man will not do that because he knows it will get him into same trouble as the Western man.

He remembers Sun Tzu and decides to save a big portion of the money in order to buy the enemy later and win the battle without a fight.

Sun Tzu said: He who hearkens to my counsel and acts upon it, will conquer.

Time to read Sun Tzu from the Chinese man's point of view!

The defeat (?) of American-style capitalism

Nobel prize economists are saying that this economic crisis will eventually pass but a big loser will be support for American-style capitalism. Does this mean that if the crisis happened during the Cold War the Soviet Union would have been the winner now? That's scary, isn't it? I'm curious to see what most people believe could have happened. If this crisis took place during the Cold War, do you believe that...

What's your impression of Obama's beliefs on war?

My impression is that Obama doesn't believe in war and wants to stir the world in that direction. That's not to say he doesn't believe in the use of force to go after terrorists in Pakistan. From his speeches and interviews, however, I rarely get the impression that in the back of his mind he seriously contemplates an attack on Iran or North Korea as the right policy, even if forced into that situation. Excluding another direct attack on America, I have the feeling Obama might be the first President to end his term(s) without presiding over a war.
